Take Part In A Major Public
Art Event In Abu Dhabi |

Painters, sculptors, architects, graphic artists, art
students are invited to join in a unique public art campaign and fund
raising project. Professional or amateur, youths or adults –
all are welcome to join in the creative fun. Camel Caravan
will provide opportunity and create mass exposure for local &
regional artists to showcase their talents by designing, painting
and embellishing camel sculptures into unique works of art. |

Camel Caravan designs call for imagination
and artistry. This public art project will be viewed and enjoyed by
members of the community of all ages. Designs that express cultural
and ethnic themes are welcome and encouraged, as are designs that
are clever and whimsical. Designs that appeal to children are popular.
Commercial logos are not acceptable, but creative interpretations
of business concepts are allowed. Artists who may have a collector
who is interested in sponsoring their work should contact us directly.
We may receive requests for certain types of designs and we will announce
these categories as they are presented to us. |

Selection Process – Artist’s
Fees |

Sponsors will choose an artist from the showcase of
accepted design proposals. ArtWorks will pay an honorarium to the
Artists selected and matched with a camel sponsor. The Artists will
receive AED 2,400 for painting a 6 foot tall camel and AED 600 for
painting a 2 foot tall camel. The Artist will be paid within 30 days
of the completion of their camel. |

Recognition |

Upon completion, each camel will bear a plaque on
the base that will contain the Artist’s name, the sponsor’s
name and the title of the camel design. The Camel Caravan website
will contain photographs of all painted camels with the Artist’s
name, the sponsor’s name and the title of the camel design. |
